Values Statement:

Our Values

Access. We provide free information, programs, and services that are open to all.

Equity. We identify barriers to access and seek to eliminate them.

Respect. We treat everyone, including each other, as valued individuals.

Freedom of information. We protect the freedom to read and view all library information and ensure the privacy of that access.

Community engagement. We embrace our role as a community anchor and value the library as a public forum and community meeting space encouraging open communication on a wide range of diverse ideas and information.

Connection. The Library is a place for quiet reflection and boisterous activity; for likeness and for difference. It is comfortable, inclusive, and vital to creating healthy, strong communities.

Quality. We strive to deliver the highest quality services possible and pledge to be friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable.

Free. We provide basic library services free of charge.

Stewardship. We hold ourselves accountable for the efficient and effective use of all resources — people, time, assets, and funds.
