Library Card Sign-Up Month

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month - the perfect time to make sure kids are equipped with a library card.  A library card can give kids access to materials to research their papers or information for their next book report.  It can also help make life after school more fun, with free access to music, DVDs, the Internet and more. Of course, library cards are not just for kids.  Parents bring their children to the library because it gives them something to do together. Parents can help their children explore new interests and, at the same time, enjoy a family program or pick out a best seller for themselves.  Best of all, family time at the library won’t break the bank.  The library and all its resources are all free with a library card!

Library Value Calculator

We know our patrons love our library, but are you curious just what the library's value to you is? All you have to do is reflect on your library use over the past month, then plug those numbers into the Library Value Calculator.  This page will calculate a total value related to the items you checked out and the services and resources you used. It even calculates your return on investment for every $1.00 you spend through taxes.
