Ongoing Classes and Events

Bouncing Babies

Friday mornings at 8:15 a.m.
Bounce on over to the library with your baby (children up to age 2) and enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, puppets and social time with others BEFORE the library opens!

Traditional Storytimes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.
Enjoy songs, stories, flannels, puppets, snack and occasional craft. For children ages 2 and up.  Storytime teaches children the foundations of reading through letters, numbers and vocabulary.

Thursdays in winter, you are invited to P.S. Storytime (Play and Stay) AFTER Traditional Storytime! We'll pull out some toys so kids can burn off some energy! 10:30-11:30 each week. There is no cost or registration, but you are required to supervise your child(ren). Library staff will not be available to stay in the Community Room after regular Storytime is over.

Musical Storytimes are held Fridays at 10:00 a.m.
Lots of songs, occasional flannels & puppets but no snack or craft. This is a good option for children who are transition from Bouncing Babies! Musical storytimes are held September through May. Storytimes on Fridays in June through August are traditional storytimes.

Winter weather policy: storytimes are cancelled if school is cancelled due to snowfall.

First Steps in Music

First Steps in Music is a free music class for children age three and up. Classes last approximately 40 minutes and run for 8-week sessions. Ms. Beth will provide a wide repertoire of age appropriate musical activities, songs, rhymes, movement and playing of simple instruments, as well as a weekly SongTale. Participation in music classes helps children develop accurate rhythmic and coordination skills, and sensitivity to the expressive qualities of music. It also helps the development of early literacy skills, socialization skills and their ability to follow directions. Above all, music enriches their lives and it is FUN! No registration is required - join us when you can make it! Check our calendar for class times.
