This Fall, Sauk Prairie Theatre Guild will unveil a brand new adaptation of the perennial Holiday Classic, "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Area resident, Rauel LaBreche and members of the Guild worked throughout the Spring and Summer of this year, to render this new version that is hopefully more faithful to the original story than any staged version before it. This is done primarily through a group of narrators that infuse much more of Dickens' prose into the staging than is usually the case. The Ruth Culver Community Library and other libraries around the county are getting a special "Sneak Preview" of the production with selections being performed by cast members as well as background information and a question and answer session being provided by the director. We hope you'll join us for this behind the scenes look at one of the greatest holiday stories ever written and how it's being "re-imagined" right here in our own community.
This production presented by the Sauk Prairie Theater Guild is made possible in part by a grant from the Sauk County UW-Extension, Arts and Culture Committee and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
