NorthStar Economics, Inc. was retained by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to conduct this study, The Economic Contribution of Wisconsin Public Libraries to the Economy of Wisconsin.
Results of the Library Advisory Referendum
The following three questions regarding the future of the library appeared on the April ballot for Village of Prairie du Sac residents. View the election results for the Village of Prairie du Sac. Results are as follows:
Question 1: YES=388 (63%) NO=225 (37%) TOTAL=613
Do you support the construction of a new Village of Prairie du Sac Public Library with an estimated project construction cost of four million dollars?
Question 2: YES=360 (61%) NO=233 (39%) TOTAL=593
Should the construction of a new Village of Prairie du Sac Public Library be located on donated lands on the west side of Lueders Road, in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and Broadway Street?
Question 3: YES=174 (30%) NO=399 (70%) TOTAL=573
Should the construction of a new Village of Prairie du Sac Public Library be within the downtown area (Central Business District) of the Village of Prairie du Sac, even if that location increases the estimated project cost?
