Allan S. Cramer Memorial Fund
The Prairie du Sac Public Library Board and Staff would like to acknowledge the receipt of a major bequest from the Allan S. Cramer Estate and the establishment of the Allan S. Cramer Memorial Fund. The Library Board and Staff has developed a financial plan on how best to allocate the funds from this bequest to providefor the short and long term needs of the Prairie du Sac Public Library as well as how best to recognize Allan's support of the Prairie du Sac Library.
A portion of the funds received were expended to pay the remaining bills associated with the 1997 building project. In addition, a portion of the remaining funds has been invested to support future major library building projects.
An additional part of the estate will be invested to generate income to supplement other library funds for the purchase of library materials. As part of the establishment of the Allan S. Cramer Memorial Fund, the library has purchased many adult, young adult and children's nonfiction books that continue to improve the library's collection in such areas as history, finance, business, social studies, science, and personal law.

The easy chair was Allan's favorite spot in the Tripp Building.
Two benches were purchased for the front of the library in memory of Allan S. Cramer.
They can be enjoyed year round.
